The Yangzhou-Europe (Ireland) International Innovation Competition, under the theme “Bridging Wisdom, Empowering Tomorrow”, held its final round and awards ceremony on August 18.

This year’s competition aims to establish a platform for Sino-European innovation collaboration. Using Yangzhou as a gateway, it seeks to pool high quality innovative resources from Europe, particularly Ireland, and facilitate in depth cooperation with key industries in Yangzhou. The initiative is dedicated to supporting the implementation of promising projects in the city.

The competition is organized by the Management Committee of Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and hosted by the Science and Technology Bureau of Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is open to teams and individuals from Europe and China with technological innovation capabilities and entrepreneurial potential.

Yangzhou Precision Systems, Inc, a high-end manufacturing enterprise established in Yangzhou and expanding globally, participated in the competition with its project “High Precision Slot Die Coater”. The event also featured outstanding entries from other European and domestic companies and teams. The competition focused on strategic emerging industries such as intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine, new energy, and new materials.

After a rigorous selection process including initial review, secondary evaluation, and the final round, eight sci-tech innovation project teams from China and Ireland advanced to the championship stage. Ms. Zhang Lijuan from SPS International Business Department delivered a fluent English presentation on behalf of the company, systematically introducing SPS core competencies and features in precision coating.

In the end, SPS’s high precision slot die coater project stood out in the evaluations of technical sophistication commercial viability, and market competitiveness, earning the Second Prize in the “Bridging Wisdom, Empowering Tomorrow” Yangzhou-Europe (Ireland) International Innovation Competition.

Yangzhou SPS will continue to contribute to innovation collaboration between Yangzhou and Ireland. We extend our gratitude once again to the Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone for providing opportunities for Sino-European innovation cooperation. SPS will further strengthen its efforts in the high precision coating technology market and expand its presence on the global stage in core markets such as perovskite and integrated circuits.
